The pathway

Points of light, then a road.

Each milestone is something a person can practice. Together they are the map from “I aged out” to “I know what I am doing for the next 90 days.”

  1. 01

    Life After Care

Important documents, appointments, transportation, housing resources, support systems, and navigating adult responsibilities.

This milestone is a map of the first adult tasks: IDs and records, medical appointments, how to get somewhere, where housing questions actually go, and who to call when a form does not make sense. It is practice with someone in the room, not a lecture about resilience.

  2. 02

    Money Without the Confusion

Banking, budgeting, credit, paychecks, taxes, bills, benefits, and avoiding financial scams.

Opening an account. Reading a pay stub. What a credit score is and is not. How work and benefits can affect each other. And the scams that show up the week a young person receives a first deposit. Plain language, real numbers, no shame.

  3. 03

    Getting Hired

Résumés, applications, interviews, workplace communication, professional clothing, and employment preparation.

A résumé that sounds like a real person. A practice interview. How to write a supervisor. What to wear. How to describe caretaking, survival, and unofficial work as skill. Preparation, not a promise of a job.

  4. 04

    Digital Skills That Pay

Professional email, Canva, AI tools, content creation, social-media safety, and online professionalism.

An email that gets answered. Simple design tools. Using AI without handing over privacy. A public presence that helps a job search instead of hurting it. Skills with a paycheck in mind.

  5. 05

    Build Something of Your Own

Entrepreneurship, freelancing, side-income ideas, personal branding, and turning a skill into an opportunity.

Not everyone wants a traditional job first. Braiding, design, repair, music, caregiving — a skill can become income, with a clear-eyed look at clients, taxes, and scams. Ambition, minus the fantasy.

  6. 06

    Your Future Plan

Every participant leaves with a personalized 90-day action plan and connections to continued support.

The last milestone is not a certificate. It is a plan: what happens in the next 90 days, who is in it, and how follow-up works. The pathway is supposed to keep going after the room empties.

Getting hired is practiced out loud. Illustrative, not a program session.

Digital skills are framed as paid skills. Illustrative photography.

What a participant leaves with

  • A completed résumé

Written in their own voice, specific enough to send.

  • A professional headshot

A portrait they choose, useful for work.

  • A basic monthly budget

Income, bills, and what is left, on one page.

  • Interview preparation

Practiced out loud, including how to talk about experience that never had a job title.

  • A personal 90-day plan

Names, dates, and the next three moves. Not a poster.

  • A resource and referral list

Places and people to call in Clark County, built with partners as the program opens.

  • A practical Launch Kit

The supplies that make the plan portable: templates, notes, and the basics.

  • Continued follow-up

Someone checks whether the plan is still alive after the last session.

What this is not

  • Not therapy, housing, or a placement. Those needs get a referral, not a pretend answer.
  • Not a promise of a job. It is preparation, practice, and introductions when partners are real.
  • Not a public intake. Minors do not submit personal information on this website.
